You May Find Yourself In A Beautiful House

Nathan and I have been house hunting. And by "Nathan and I" I mean mostly Nathan. He did 100% of the internet research. He did all the preliminary paperwork for loan approval. He contacted the realtor. He viewed houses. I only looked twice. I was told to dress as "normal" as I could, so as not to offend current homeowners. I loled. And then I wore this...

House Hunting

Pretty normal, eh?

House Hunting

I only went on two ride alongs, and I knew the house I wanted as SOON as I saw it. I'll share pictures with you soon, I hope. We have made an offer, and it has been accepted. All that's left is inspection, and if that goes well, we will be homeowners by September. It's crazy. We have lived in one bedroom apartments our entire adult lives. We have had a washer but not a dryer, or a washer and dryer, but a shared one. We have had basic refrigerators, and no dishwasher. The new house? Has all the nice things. A dishwasher. A fancy fridge that spits water and ice out the door and is all huge and stainless steel and gorgeous and our OWN washer and dryer. And two (and a half*) bedrooms. It's so exiting I can't stand it. Also mildly terrifying.

But mostly exciting.

House Hunting

*You guys? There is a nursery tucked behind the master bedroom. You know what that means right? CLOSET ROOM. I AM SO EXCITED! I can't wait to get it all set up and share!

Congratulations!!!!!! Good luck!!!!

We have a secret room off of my office, which I should have turned into a closet. We turned it into our secret spy headquarters instead. And by secret spy headquarters, I mean storage.

I am so happy for you. It is really nice to have a home of your own.
I love your bag, I am a sucker for fringe!
By the way, you really should smile more often! You have such a pretty smile.
Good luck on the inspection.

Congratulations! I'm a fairly new homeowner and I remember that crazy roller coaster time from the moment we knew which house we wanted to the closing. It was awesome and scary and totally worth it. Good luck!

how incredibly exciting, Erin! fingers crossed that the inspection goes well :)

also, loving that the nursery is your future mega closet.

and you look just lovely in this outfit, albeit a bit more "safe" than your usual (I would not dare to call it normal, cause it's still very you!).

I'm so glad you found a house you like. That dress is pretty, but I can't imagine wearing a denim jacket in the heat here. I hope it isn't so hot there.

Very exciting news. I hope everything goes well and I would say that qualifies as normal. I think its a very pretty dress. We looked at over 75 houses before we found one in the neighborhood we liked that only needed cosmetic renovations. I hope to offer congrats soon.

Eeee! Good luck with inspection! I feel as if we're house-twins, because the most exciting thing for us when we moved into our current home is that our fridge also spit out water and ice. ON THE DOOR. And we have our own washer-dryer and I'm never going back. Also? My husband did the majority of the research.

Also? You look FANTASTIC.

As your completely unofficial Realtor, I am SO VERY HAPPY you guys got a home inspection! Very much worth the money :) And I'm -uber-psyched for you two! Yay, home ownership!

Also? I lol'd when you said that nursery = closet space. Tee-hee!

Check you out, Miss Fancy-Pants-Soon-to-be-House-Owner! I am totally jealous of the idea of a closet room. Once it's all set up, you have to take pictures!

YAAAAYYYY!!!! Congratulations! I was freaked out for months after we bought our house, and scared as shit, but it was all worth it because right now I am sitting in an office that I OWN. Now, if only we could get better at paying our mortgage on time :/

AHHHHHH! That is awesome! I am so excited for you! I've been lucky to live in 2 bedroom apartments up until our current tiny one bedroom so I know how much space can be of an importance. SO excited for you and your nursery closet! :)
