Down

Hey there.

I’ve missed you. I’ve missed blogging. I’ve missed reading your blogs. And OH how I’ve missed getting dressed.

It’s been a rough time for me. As you know, I got laid off in November. My husband got laid off in December. It was, it IS rough. Since we don’t work, we stay home. And since we are both unemployed, there is not a lot of money for going out. The reasons to get dressed just get further and farther apart. So I don’t. I mean, I am DRESSED, I’m just in the same jeans and various American Apparel tees basically every day. I got lots of new dresses for Christmas, and I would just really like a job, so I have somewhere to wear them.

Lately, Nathan has been doing some consulting work from home, which means that I have not really had an access to the laptop. But today he’s gone into the office he’s been consulting for, so I thought I’d grab this opportunity to say hello, and maybe get up an outfit post, edit some photos…ect.

On the bright side, I’ve done some new things for the store that I am really proud of, like the necklace of pink and green Tourmaline. It’s unfinished in the photo, I’ve since added gold crimp bead covers to hide those crimp beads. It’s very delicate and not really like anything I’ve done before.

Dec 29, Day 84

I am hoping to get the new items photographed and uploaded to the store in the next few days.

I’ve also been keeping up with my 365 blog. I don’t POST every day but I do still get a picture every day. Lately they have felt really boring and uninspired, but I feel like I’d rather keep going, even uninspired, than quit. Inspiration will hit again. And every once in a while, I do still get one I like, like these…

Dec 18, Day 73

Dec 27 Day 82

Last week, I colored my hair. Red.
Jan 7, Day 93

I’m down. But I’m not out. It’s a slump, but I’m not going to quit.

Erin~I really enjoy your blog and I've missed your posts! I (sort of) know you from @forumz (cjm), and I just want to let you know that I'm hoping 2009 looks better for you and Nathan very, very soon. You're such a sweetheart, and I really do admire you and your creative spirit.

Erin, it will be ok! I am so sorry to hear about you and your husbands job loss! Times are hard right now, and just know that you are not alone! And the economy WILL pick back up! We can all count our blessings, because there is ALWAYS SOMETHING to be thankful for! :-)

Chin up! :-) You still rock!

{{Hugs}} I'm right there with you, luv. The only reason I do get dressed everyday is my blog. I think, in a way, it keeps me sane.

I wish you and your husband good fortune in the new year.

And I lurve the new 'do. :O)

I have absolutely hated that you haven't posted for so long but I sure can understand why. Your posts here are a little way for me to keep up with you & "see" you & I really miss it when you don't post! I read your 365 blog too though, so I'm glad you're still going with that.

I've missed you too. I actually came on to see if you'd posted.. and you had!! So I was very happy.

Keep your chin up. You've got some creative talents there with your jewellery making. Why not use this time to explore more styles. It's working cause I love your new necklace!!

I think you should still get dressed for us and post as often as you can. Sounds selfish on my part... but I think it could also be good for your spirits to get dressed up each day, even if it's only for us, your adoring fans!

Hey Erin, hello from Amsterdam!

I just recently started to browse all kinds of fashion blogs and I immediately bookmarked yours! I'm sorry to hear that you are having a hard time, but don't give up working with what you've got!
Bye, Alexandra

Wow, looks like you've already got a "whole lotta love" but thought I'd throw in my tuppence-worth!

You have a lovely way of writing and amazing style that really enhances your best-bits!

And you're certainly not alone in the lack-of-moolah dept. I've just gone freelance with my copywriting and as yet have NO WORK LINED UP and bills to pay! Aaaak!

Hence me stepping up my Personal Shopping service to get some bucks back in my bank account!

Chin-up!xxx
