We Can Do Whatever We Want To

There is not a pattern to be found in this outfit*. Which is unlike me, I know. But sometimes basic is good.

Plain White Tee

This tee is from a men's multi-pack of Hanes tees, and it is ridiculously comfortable. And crazy cheap.

Plain White Tee

I love that the basic look of the plain white tee and jeans let's the bag shine. I love this bag. My manager wanted it as well, but I had it on my hold and I'm cold-hearted enough I bought it. But come on...wouldn't you have?

Plain White Tee

The fringe pieces are not sewn to the bag, there are hundreds of tiny holes on the outer leather layer of the bag, and the fringe is just threaded through them. On the one hand it's unnerving, and I worry I'll lose pieces. On the other hand it's really kind of soothing to sit and pull them though to make sure they are secure. Like a worry stone in purse format.

Plain White Tee

*if you look closely there is, in the form of a leopard print bra.

Tee, Hanes
Jeans, ANA at JC Penny
Shoes, Worishofer
Bag, Buffalo Exchange
Necklace, Yard Sale

uh..you don't think it's a little inappropriate to have your bra see-thru your shirt at work?

vixvoxgrrl,

I wore this on my day off actually...but no. It's not inappropriate at all where I work. Different jobs have different dress codes. :)

It's the bag & accessories that make your basic outfit pop. Love it!

This is so funny. Yesterday I wore a plain white v-neck and jeans. Only I had on fringey earrings instead of a very awesome bag. I haven't posted the pics yet but I will. :)

I have been thinking about wearing more men's undershirts myself lately, and look at you, totally bringing it style-wise with a simple, 1950s young men's look, with great accessories. Pure inspiration. Also, way to look happy and gorgeous.

I have a big pack of men's vee neck t-shirts that I bought and wear to exercise/sleep in. They are seriously the comfiest things on this planet! I even RIT dyed some of them fun colors.

That shay bag is fantastic. Your hair has been looking great lately. The bangs were a good choice!

Who needs a print with such gorgeous jewelry! I have those tees. My husband keeps asking me why I bought him v-necks. :) I'm like, they're not yours!

I feel like such a creeper because the second time I read through your post, I checked every single picture for leopard print bra - alas, none came to me!

I loved the idea of wearing men's t-shirts, so I definitely thought I'd channel you the other week by grabbing one of Scott's concert tees, pairing it with jean shorts and tights... but unfortunately, I don't have the chest to pull off the men's tee: it just make me look like a pre-pubescent teen

That bag is ADORABLE. I've been on the hunt for weeks for a fringe bag. And I'm a total fan of Target Hanes V-necks too. Best. Thing. Ever.

I love how basic this outfit is because it lets the bag take all the glory. Again, your hair is KILLING it. Love.

When I first moved to DFW five years ago from Phoenix, I went to the Buffalo over in Dallas and was disappointed in the selection and haven't been back since. Obviously, judging from that purse, things have changed! I need to make a trip over from Keller and take a look at what other wonderful treats you have hiding on the racks :)

That purse, obviously, is fabulous and I love that you kept the rest of the outfit simple so it could really shine (not to mention I totally understand the comfort of Hanes t's...ahhh...)

I'm a big fan of men's hanes tees as well. I'm actually wearing one right now...and I love how the simplicity of your outfit really lets the fringe stand out. I would've fought my boss for this bag too, it's totally awesome! You've just inspired me to make my men's undershirt tee into a blogworthy outfit!!

Come. To. Momma. LOVE that bag. And I don't think it's heartless to snag it before the boss. It's better to get it fair and square rather than steal it off her arm when she walks into work one day.... just sayin'...
