I wore my fashion sweatpants to work the other day. And I liked it.
It's not for everyone, I know. It's not for Nathan. He sort of hates them. But I don't. I really like them.
The combo of the sweatpants with the tank was so breezy and free it felt more like I was wearing pajamas than anything else.
I also wore my high heel Docs. I think I have the secret code for wearing heels to work cracked. A princess shift* combined with a register shift seems to be the key. The combination of not having the extra chores to do after the day is done combined with less moving about on the floor and more standing on the nice padded mat seems to work. My feet are still more over it than normal by the time I leave, but I look good. I'm testing this theory today with some clogs. Wish me luck.
*A princess shift. One where you neither open or close, so you have no opening chore and no closing to do, and you just waltz in and waltz out, like a princess.

You look so cheeky in the first picture! I love it. And anything that makes you feel like you're working in pajamas is a win in my book. Rock on!
I love the look of these sweatpants....the can soooo easily be styled up or down....my daughter works at F21....and she LOVES the shift you speak of, lol.
That's it. You officially have The Best Job In The World. For realsies. I mean, where else can you wear sweatpants and a tank? I am dying of jealously here.
I was just looking at a similar pair of cropped sweats at Forever 21 yesterday, and thinking how in the hell I could wear them? Now I know. Thanks for that.

Haha, I love that term. Those are absolutely my favorite shifts!
So cute...you styled this beatifully!
Love it, you look so happy lately! And the sweatpants make you look uber thin!
I know those sweatpants very well...Converse for Target, right? If I'm wrong I definitely need to know where you got yours so that I can have a backup pair.
When I worked retail those were my favorite shifts as well. Straightening the store stinks!
I can't bring myself to try the 'fashion sweatpant' trend, but I think you look adorable and did a great job styling them.
How is it that when you wear sweatpants you look chic, but when I wear sweatpants I look homeless?? I am in awe of your styling prowess! *bows down*
I really like them! They look more like slouchy leggings than sweatpants. And I mean anytime you can wear sweatpants is a good thing!
The Princess Shift is the BEST. I like the good ole 10-5 or 12-7, though I am a true princess and don't like to work a whole 7 hours straight.
I would totally wear those pants and my husband would totally not be into it either. Oh well.
I'm digging the pants.
I am a fan! Eric would definitely not be a fan...boys!
I used to love working the princess shift when I worked at Barnie's. Best shift ever!
I think those sweats are FABULOUS!!! They fit you well and the cropped length makes them sassy. Plus your tank with the flowers and peeking stripes...adorable!
Come take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet
I have those sweats too. I love them. I think men have a genetic predisposition to hate them or anything like them. You look adorable, though!
