A Thousand Million Shivering Furry Holes

My friend/co-worker Stephanie found this blazer. The first I saw of it was when she was bringing it to the front of the store to place on her hold.* You can't tell from the pictures but it is the MOST luscious silk. I can only think of a handful of people in the world whose wardrobe would demand an oversize floral silk blazer, but Stephanie and I both have such wardrobes. As a result, I had an immediate reaction of longing and need when she showed it to me.**

Cure Tee

Circumstances eventually dictated that I end up with the blazer (because Stephanie is a doll and conceded it to me). And I LOVE IT.

I've also decided that pettipants = black shorts for this summer. I have something like 7 pairs, because I wear them so often under dresses, so I might as well get as much use out of them as possible and what can be wrong with lace bottom shorts?

I've got a long week ahead of me. The store has some very important guests coming this week, and we are all very excited. We are prepping for their visit and I am needed for a short shift on my day off to help with our guests. I hope they have a wonderful time and I'll tell you all about it!

*Buffalo employees pretty much always have a hold. We are allowed a very limited number of things on our hold, and we are only allowed to hold them for a couple shifts, but we pretty much always have one. One of my favorite things to do at the store when I have a minute of downtime is peruse my co-workers holds. They are fashionable, fascinating collections and most of the time you can tell who they belong to without even looking at the name on the tape.

**Not an uncommon reaction between the two of us. We have overlapping styles and often fall in love with the same pieces. It's a constant compromise between us.

You are so good at being true to your style. You always look beautiful! The floral blazer is gorgeous and I can only imagine what it feel like on (I'd probably be swishing around in it all day hee hee) I hope this week isn't too hard on you.

::le sigh::

i so want a Buffalo Exchange near me. (the closest we have is REDDZ Trading and Mustard Seed, which are ok, but not quite as good, IMO). i think its awesome that you work there. i emailed once to ask if there were any plans for a DC location, and they said yes, as soon as they found a suitable space -- but that was several years ago... im guessing those plans have been dropped.
*WAH!*

That blazer is AMAZING. Did you roll the sleeves or did they have that cuff? They're the perfect length...seriously, I'm in love. Pairing it with the Cure T? Fantastic. I think this may be one of my favorite outfits of yours!

No, you can really tell that this blazer is made from silk -- there's a certain subtle sheen. So lux!

I totally dig this entire outfit, it's so you and that's a major good thing. LOVE the pettipants!

Like EvaNadine I too want a Buffalo Exchange in DC! When I worked retail I used to love to peruse the staff holds, and like you I could tell who they belonged to before I even looked at the hold tag. So funny, and so inspirational too for future outfits!
