You Gotta Get With My Friends

(Yesterday I recorded the MTV morning show “AMTV” in hopes that I would catch the crazy new Lady Gaga video to show Nathan, and you know what they played? They played Wannabe, by The Spice Girls. I am now recording that show on a daily basis in hopes of more such anomalies.)

So here is the deal with this outfit. I know it hides my figure. I’m aware. I just don’t care. All of the color and pattern makes me feel happy and light.

The insurance guy called yesterday to tell me they are totaling the car. It’s disappointing and it’s defeating, and I am not really going to deal with it right now. I know I will have to at some point, but for now, I choose to forget about it.

Life has been hard this year, I won’t lie. But I have my health. I have a good job, and I have a wonderful husband. So I’m going to focus on that. PLUS my Alannah girl is coming TOMORROW to visit and we are going to sit on the couch and watch Girls Aloud DVDs and eat cake balls and talk and it will be awesome.

November 18

I have 3 days of vacation and I am looking forward to every minute. I am going to spend the rest of the week and weekend with Alannah and then Monday I am going to go in the middle of the day, alone, to see New Moon.

November 18

I’m still wearing these. I hope you like them or else this might get really boring for you for a bit, you know how I tend to fixate on pieces and wear them over and over!

That dress is absolutely amazing! So many colors to play off of. And I love those earrings, wear them everyday for weeks and I won't complain!

Enjoy your time off!

BOO for totaling the car. I'm sorry to hear that, E. But glad that you're focusing on the good in your life, and have a fun girly vacay coming up.

And way to shirk the style rules! Love all those cascading folds of fabric, even if I can't see your teensy waist.

That dress is too pretty!

That sucks about the car - I have no advice or words of wisdom so I'll stop there - it sucks.

So sorry to hear about the car, Erin! However, you look absolutely smashing (no pun intended) in this outfit - the colours are glorious on you.

Total suckage on the car. Sorry!

On the bright side, you look lovely. Purple is a great color on you.

1) Sometimes I wear outfits that hide my figure too, if they're really fun.

2) I am going alone to New Moon too! All my friends think it's lame. Haha.

Big boo to the totalling of your car. I really should lend you matt because that man is a wonder at finding good (old) cars for good prices and then bargaining them down even more. In fact, he bargains so hard I can't be around because it's embarrassing. He got me my Volvo (which we call by another immature name, replacing some 'o's' for a 'u' and 'a') for $800.
Good news? You look hot, nice colour usage.

Erin, would the new Lady Gaga be on youtube or her website? BTW, you inspired me to buy the floral bib shirt from WM. I got the blue one and get lots of compliments. You have turned me on to prints which I used to avoid. Love your jewelry and those GLOVES!

Love your blog, love your style! That dress ia AWE-SOME. I'm all about colors, especially in the fall months. Why always go to just brown/black/gray, right?

I found your blog through Leina's blog, so I'm pimping mine! :)

Take care, Rachel

I think this is one of my favourite outfits I've seen you in lately. Really great and fun and young. Maybe great clothes can take the edge off life's disasters? Hope everything works out all right with the car.

I LOVE this outfit! The colours, the textures, the layers.. it all looks fabulous, and I don't think it hides your figure at all - it looks amazing. Gorgeous!

The print on this dress is awesome.
I like how you paired the girly dress, with more of a tough jacket!
it works!
