I Will Be Here, Just Sunny Days

This dress is super comfortable, generous in length and well made. The fabric is really nice, and the sizing was true to what the site said it would be.

July 30

My only complaint is that it would be better suited to a smaller chest*, but then, if I’m being honest, I probably should have sussed that out myself. I tried it on out of the package sans sports bra and well, it was a bit much. Even fashion tape was not going to be enough to keep everything well contained. I think it looks really nice with the sports bra AND jacket though, and my office is so cold there was never a chance I was going to need to remove the jacket anyway!

I took a pic for you of the dress sans jacket, so you can get a feel for the construction, because honestly, I think this would be really nice on you A and B cup girls. It’s well lined up top, with soft cups for modesty.

July 30

If I want to wear it sans jacket though I will have to come up with a better solution than that sports bra, because it’s creating weird lumps and bumps for me right at the empire waist seam of the dress. Not pretty. If I had one of those tank/bra combos that would work really well, but that’s another thing I tend to have trouble with in a bigger cup size. They tend to be made for C cups and below.

*I am a 34 D. I think this dress would be great on a B cup or smaller.

Bwhahahahahaah! Edited to add a delightful and true quote from Emily Kennedy "The 34D is the unicorn of bras. Hidden deep in the forests and commonly obscured by 36Ds and 34Cs."
So. True.

This dress is super cute! Perfect for summer.

I have extra high levels of empathy for you as a 34D woman. I never knew your pain with pre-pregnancy 34B's. But now I know. The 34D is the unicorn of bras. Hidden deep in the forests and commonly obscured by 36Ds and 34Cs.

I love this look! It's such a great casual work look - I would wear it in an instant to my office. I like how you wore it with a sports bra to accommodate for its limitations!

I think it looks cute with the jacket and the sports bra.

I wear a C, and I'll layer dresses over camis with shelf-bras, but I'll only to that on weekends since they don't have as much support and coverage as a standard bra.

I too must wear a tank under a lot of my sundresses. I used to sell Bra's at Sears, and that is sooooo true!!
The 36c is most common and we usually only got 1, sometimes none, of this special creature! I am a 36d, and believe it or not, they are hard to find as well!
But, back to the dress, Iit looks great and I prefer an "underling" beneath these, as it adds a pop of accent and looks more pulled together! Hope your summer is a great one so far!

being small-of-boob myself, i have little to offer (teehee! small boob, little to offer) in ways of bra advice. have you tried a bandeau top under dresses like this? it would provide extra coverage in the boobular area without compromising the construction of the dress...not sure if the would work for those with larger chesticles, though.

I'm a C girl myself and even if I wasn't I am way to modest to attempt a top like that.
Ever consider a bandau? They have them everywhere and they don't go according to bra size. Basically a piece of fabric looks like a tube tob but just for the boobies, anyways it works well at concealing.

Emily is so right. I see 32, 36, 38 and 40 D's and DD's but no 34. I think the stores mock us

Have you tried it with a tank top and just a regular bra? That's like my go-to Too Much Boobs fix.

Completely agree with Emily Kennedy's quote. 34D truly is the unicorn of bras. When the two I have die I don't know what I'll do...

34D solidarity! And nice work with the sports bra - I would never have guessed you weren't wearing a black tank.

Ahem...42DD here. Try a dress like that with these knockers, LOL. I think it looks fine with that sports bra. That's a trick that I use often as well. The Champion unlined sports bras from Target (of course!) are great for this sort of thing. And anyone looking for larger bras should not sleep on the Cacique brand sold at Lane Bryant. I can't wear the clothes, but I LOVE the bras. Someone recommended them to me, and I have never looked back.

Weeeelllll, if you're lookin' to get it off your hands, I'm a delightfully tiny 34A.

Seriously, though, I am LOVING this. The sandals are major winners.

That's what size I am! It is SO FREAKIN' HARD TO FIND (see? it drove me to caps!) that it's not funny. I end up with 36Ds that ride up, most of the time.

Nike makes some awesome D cup sports bras, by the way. Lock and load!

Great dress. You look very casual chic.

I am the same size!!! On a short chick, it ain't great. They really are hard to find!

That dress does look great on you, regardless of the top being a bit less concealing than one might like.

Adorei a sugestão do top sob o vestido. Não fica escandaloso e você fica fresquinha.

You wrote that the dress is true to size. So, are you wearing a size small? :)

another 34D here late to the party. i go to TJMaxx around the corner here, they have GOBS of every size and one or two 34Ds.

WHAT is the PROBLEM, bra makers?!?!?

and, oh, Erin, you look great! nice how you did the sports bra with the dress, it just looks like you did it for added detail and structure. it doesn't scream 'coverin' up the gals' like some of these solutions do.

Those cross-over style tops don't work very well on the small of bust either. I have a terrible time with them because they just fall open, so I have to wear under-layers too. It's always been my hypothesis that this style is more suited to a C or D cup, but it seems like we all need a layer underneath, just for different reasons. It looks great on you though, and the sports bra gives the outfit some nice contrast, so don't sweat it.

I am now going to enter department and lingerie stores with a different attitude. I'm hunting Unicorns!
