On this day I was running late, feeling rushed and frumpy and scatterbrained. I could not get it together. And then Nathan asked me to wear this blazer, which belongs to him. So I quickly changed tees to go with it, and had to go with the outfit because at that point I was late late late. And I didn’t feel good. In fact I didn’t love this look all day. But seeing it in pictures changed my mind.
Nathan was 100% right. That blazer looks great. I stand corrected.
And those are jeans I am not really comfortable in right now, but even they look pretty good.
Maybe it was just my mood. Or maybe I lacked perspective, but it’s finding out stuff like this that makes photographing daily outfits worth it. That plus you have all these pictures to access when you lack inspiration and you can look back and see “Oh yeah! That outfit! That was smashing” and re-wear it.
I sure hope he lets me borrow that blazer again! The arms were a bit tight at the top, because it’s a little boys blazer, but the discomfort was minimal compared with the look. And now that I know it looks so nice, I will be able to ignore the minor inconvenience caused by the sleeves, because it will be overshadowed by the convenience of feeling Fabulous.

Open blazers always make me feel really boxy, but when I look at myself in a mirror or on film I look super-chic. It's hard to overcome that feeling of boxiness though!
I think you look funky chic! Everything looks pulled together.
I think that blazer is awesome on you! Now let me go in my bf's closet and see what I can find!
I really like the blazer. Your husband has good taste.
You look ADORABLE. I love this on you.
Ooh, I LOVE this. I'm glad the pictures changed your mind because it looks amazing! Go Nathan!
You look fabulous...seriously, don't know how you could think otherwise!
That man of yours has a great eye for fashion, this outfit looks absolutely fabulous! And I agree with you, mild discomfort can be endured in order to look great :)

I do love this.
You look great! Way to go Nathan, to see the potential of this outfit. Glad you like it too.
Even though you weren't really feelin' this outfit at the beginning, I think it's pretty awesome. It's simple and fun!
That outfit looks SO GOOD. Easy breezy rocker style. Nathan knows what he's talking about!
Better a blazer a bit too small than a frumpy over sized one.
I love this look! I like how fitted yet flattering it all is.
Props to Nathan! And to you for looking SO very "smashing".
That blazer does look great on you! I think that Nathan should relinquish his rights to it.
You look fab! Love the graphic t under a blazer look :)
The blazer looks awesome! Nathan has good taste :)
seriously, girl, this is a winner. i want to dress like this every day. and, after seeing this, i think i will.
What a man! He was right, it looks absolutely awesome. One of my favourite in fact.
I was totally ogling the blazer.
I love that! You look good, girl!
Erin...that's an outfit I would love to wear, but would end up looking like a total...well, I don't know, but a total something! You look great in it, kinda urban rocker-girl(or something-i'm SO not cool enough to know what that style is actually called...hahahaha!)! Love it! xoxoxo-misty:)
Yea, that blazer really amps up the whole outfit. I can't tell its tight--and I certainly can't tell its a little boys! It looks wonderful on you!
this is one of my favourite outfits you've posted. the blazer is adorable and works great with the jeans and boots.
OK, I obviously need to hit the thrift stores this weekend to find a boy's blazer for myself. This is a really great outfit! Also, "the convenience of feeling Fabulous" is a great quote, which I plan to borrow from (and credit) you in the future.
I'm such a sucker for a fitted blazer.
i love this outfit, and that tee is awesome too! very city casual-chic :) xx
I love that blazer on you! You should just magically hang on to it for him.
You do look smashing! I love little boys blazers... I need to stop buying them!
I love that blazer! I was so eager to get to the bottom of the post to see where I could pick it up myself. Too bad its a borrow! You look wonderful in it!
This outfit looks great! Maybe you didn't feel comfortable because it is a bit of a departure from your usual style, I think. Or maybe just because of the time factor, I hate not having time to try another option, just in case - I'm always thinking 'what if it could have been better?!?'.
This look was made for you! You look awesome - so chic, so flattering, so simple!
