Lay Me Down Now, Time For Sleeping

(yes…that is from the same song as my last entry, and what?)

I wore my hair down on Friday. I do not do this very often for a couple of reasons. I don’t like the way it looks first of all, I think that leaving all my hair down makes my face look too round. I also find it hard to think with that much hair in my face. Does anyone else have that problem? I just can’t handle it. I have to tie it up in a knot on itself in order to be able to think. I just function better with my bump. But Nathan loves it down, so I try and wear it down once in a while.

Sometimes I wonder if the good folks at Urban outfitters thought this tunic was a dress. I bet someone did. And I bet they also didn’t intend for me to wear a layering tank under it. And I don’t always. Sometimes I pin the front shut instead. But I wonder how they intended it to be worn. Because unpinned and without a layering tank, it’s quite a show, I’ll have you know!

How great is that purse by the way? Nathan found it thrifting of course. It’s the closest thing I’ll probably ever have to my dream bag, which is a Chanel 2.55. The Chanel 2.55 is the pinnacle of handbags. There will never be a handbag as perfect as that bag. But this one comes close. It’s only missing a few inches and a couple interlocking Cs. I prefer to go through life believing that at some point, the stars will align and I will have a spare 3 grand for a handbag. This is…unlikely to say the least. But I choose to believe it anyway.

I love that UO top and the fact that it is a horse print is even better! Unfortunately I'm only 5'1 so things like that are always way too long on me.

And your hair looks great down!

Do you know, I don't think I've ever seen you with your hair down. At least not in person. You look beautiful! And I love that tunic, too.

I have the exact same belief! Someday the stars will align, and the fates will allow me to have my Chanel bag. But yours is a pretty darn good substitute for now.

Quite a show, indeed! But the tunic is gorgeous!

I leave my hair down so that I can hide behind it. It's my shield.

Love the hair like this.

I don't always like my hair down either, because I have a horrible cowlick in the front- that's why I got bangs!! I almost want to grow my bangs out, but I know I'll just cut them back in again.

Someone might wear the top as a dress... It seems like an awesome tunic, but a teeeeny dress!

And I know what you mean re: hair in your face making it hard to think!!

Dang, you DO have a beautiful head of hair. I'm glad you wore it down, too! :)

And the tunic/dress/layering piece looks lovely! Great outfit.

oh, your hair looks gorgeous down!! I don't think it makes your face look too round at all, it's very flattering!

I love your hair like this - it looks so soft and pretty. Your face doesn't look round.

Your hair is gorgeous down! And your face is much more oval than round. But speaking as someone with thick hair who used to keep it at waist length; oh, the hassles involved when your long hair is down!

your hair does look beautiful down. i think your face looks great either way, fwiw. and such nice horsies!!

since i married, i've been living with my husband about three blocks from a T.J. Maxx. turns out they have really, really good deals on some swanky Italian handbags. living so close i'm able to 'monitor the situation' and have ended up with two really nice bags. i NEVER expected to be in a position to end up with nice bags like i have now, so keep that idea in your head!!! life can get up to things you'd never imagine....

Cool tunic. I have a hard time with them since I have big hips. Your hair looks great, though I like your bump too -- I feel like it looks more retro/rockabilly.
