Amazing Grace

This is like, the week for bad pictures. I know these are sort of eye-bleedingly bright, but I really loved this outfit. I had to take indoor pictures (which never works well in my house) and then color correct the yellow (which I'm not good at).

I’m clearly just really into this hoodie and jacket right now. Sometimes I force myself to change it up so as not to bore my readers but now is not one of those times. I love the way they look with the super girly flouncy blouse.

The reason I was too late for outdoor shots is because I went to see The September Issue with my friend Kelly. It was SO good. I really enjoyed it. And as much as it is a movie about Anna Wintour, the real star of the film is not Anna, but the relationship between Anna and Grace Coddington, the creative director of Vogue, and a total and utter genius. Kelly and I want to have drinks with her , maybe every day for the rest of our lives.

If you have not been to see the film yet, I really encourage you to do so if you can. It was so enjoyable and I can’t wait to see it again!~

I am so glad you liked the movie. I am dying to see it myself, but I don't think it is playing in my city anymore, so I might have to wait for the DVD...

Super cute outfit! Love it with the girlie blouse. :)

You have a fabulous collection of bags missy....I always go "OHHH ughhhhh!" everytime I see your posts because of your fabulousness and those soft buttery bags you own.

What I would give to raid you boot closet! I missed out on "The September Issue" in theaters, but will definitely catch it on DVD - I've heard nothing but good things.

And hey, THANK YOU for your supportive comment. People were getting so damn literal ... and you're spot-on. Someone such as yourself, with a defined, refined, and fabulously specific style has no real use for lists of "basics." I'm sure you could work some of those pieces if they were dumped in your lap as freebies ... put your own spin on them. But they're just meant to be building blocks for classic, semi-conservative dressing.

Cute jacket -- it seems to have a military-type feel?

I love that blouse, and I love the combination of girly and tough in this outfit - so, to sum up, I love it :)

I love it too! Do you keep both jackets on all day? I'd be surprised if you didn't end up boiling hot (but maybe I underestimate the level of a/c in your office!). I don't think I could layer like that here... even on the coldest days they crank the heat so much that I strip down to my first layer most of the time!

Excuse my ramble... I just meant to tell you I like this look a lot!

I like the hoodie and jacket combo, and that's a great jacket to combine with a hoodie (and it's just a great jacket!).

I haven't seen The September Issue. I'm waiting for Netflix. I'm excited that Coco Before Chanel opens here this weekend. My boyfriend wants to see that too, so that will be a movie-theater movie.

Thanks to TiVo and NetFlix I have only heard about this movie thanks to a few fashion blogs. I am intrigued.

I want to see more of the purse!

That's a really cute look! I've been browsing fashion blogs to get a clue about how to dress as I lose weight, so thanks for the great pictures!

What a great look -- love that top!

BTW, if you change the white balance setting on your camera to tungsten or incandescent, it should correct the yellow for you and look a lot better.
