Should Have Come With a Body Map, So I Knew Where The Night Would Take Me

I’m back!~ That was the longest I’ve been sick in years and was zero fun. I have never been so glad to be back in the swing of things. I went grocery shopping yesterday and was giddy at the thought. Then I cleaned out the fridge, and rearranged the cabinets. I would have powered through the whole house but Nathan reminded me to take it easy.

This is what I was wearing the day it all started to go wrong. I actually went home from work early on Tuesday because I was just feeling really run down. I didn’t know I had one at the time but a 100% fever will do that to a girl!

I’ve always had trouble with this dress. It is GORGEOUS, but it is also a sundress and I’ve had trouble finding a jacket that works really well with it. But this jacket is perfect!

The wide set, v-shaped front of the jacket ensures that you can still see the detail of the bust and neckline, which is my favorite part of the dress.

And once again, thank you SO much to all of you who pointed out that it was a travesty that I did not own a studded belt. I love it. It can take an outfit from a little too sweet to just right in no time.

I do think I will wear more delicate shoes next time, but these are just so comfortable that I wore them in spite of the fact that they are a bit too clunky for the dress.

I love a dress with pockets!~ I carry keys at work to get into the different suites and I just love when my dress has pockets I can toss them in.

I just bought that same jacket this weekend! I also bought their sweater moto jacket that you showed on your blog last week. I went in with the intentions of looking at that one and came out with both! I wasn't sure what to pair the military one with just yet, but your outfit looks so cute! Now I've got my juices flowing! Thanks!!

I really like the booties with the dress, personally. The buttons on them tie in nicely withe the buttons on the jacket. I also like the monochromatic look of the booties and the tights together. :)

Jasie stole my comment - the shoes are perfect with the jacket because of that button detail.

Aw, glad you're feeling better now. I ADORE that jacket, and love the way the buttons in it play off those in the shoes! Such a cute outfit.

I agree that the booties look fantastic with the outfit, since it's tights season. I would save the more delicate shoes for when you are wearing hose or going bare-legged with that outfit.

I love how you've taken a sundress and make it work for fall! I totally agree - I love dresses (and skirts) with pockets.

Glad you're feeling better.

Glad you are better! I have and love that dress. My problem with it is that I didn't realize until I wore it out this summer it doesn't work with a regular bra like I thought it would. I had to throw on a cardi to make it work (hate strapless bras). Very cute on you!

Love the military jacket! And the buttons on the jacket seem to match your shoes :)

PS I have the same shoes ;)

I just thrifted a very similiar jacket for three bucks this weekend...but it is made apparently from wool to keep the devil warm so I have to wait to wear it.

I am so happy you're feeling better. The studded belt is superb!

I'm curious to know what shade of blush you were wearing on this day. Thanks! :)

I posted the pic of my $3 thrifted jacket that looks like this one...And I have that exact Belt form Target so thanks for the idea:) My jacket has gold buttons so that's why I was hesitant to wear the belt with it...but screw it:)

The pic is on the sidebar:)

Happy Tuesday!

I love the jacket (want it, want it) and the belt with this cute dress. I have a rockin' grommet belt that I use in the same way.
