He Made Me A Tape of Bootlegs and B-Sides

So it turns out there is a reason you guys don’t take pics in snow storms other than discomfort. I know, it seems so obvious now, the snow ruins the picture, but I swear I just didn’t think about it! I’m not going to bother with putting these on Weardrobe or Wardrobe Remix, but I feel like we are friends, and this blog is about more than showing off my outfits, so even though you can’t make out a lot of details, I’m going to post them anyway. If for no other reason than to keep up with my all black week and to say hi. Hi!

Feb 11

I’ve had a few questions about those socks. They do stay up all by themselves, I do not do a lot of adjusting during the day, but that may just be because I always wear them over leggings or tights and they have something to grip. As far as size, well, I don’t know any other way to let you know about the sizing than to just lay it all out there for you, so I will. My leg, right there where they are sitting, is 16 inches around and I feel like they have a good 2 or 3 inches of stretch left in them. They are tight enough to stay up, but not at all uncomfortable. And very warm.

Feb 11

It’s still coming down pretty hard. We are supposed to get about 4 inches or so over the course of the day. Which is nothing I know, but 4 inches more than normal. It’s really very pretty right now, and not all that bad on the roads*.

Stay safe and warm!

*OMG, you guys, people from Texas CANNOT drive in ice and snow. We don’t have the proper tires or skills. No one slows down and everyone is an idiot. Except all the people I know, and we are just better than everyone else is all.

your pictures look pretty in the snow! whenever I take them in the snow they don't come out so well.

Love the all black again with the pop of purple in your purse.

I seriously think that the world is coming to an end. East Coast getting hit with foot after foot of snow, midwest gets hit, TX now getting hit. And we had a earthquake here in Chicagoland area yesterday.

Now THAT'S dedication, lady!

I like the snow pictures! It makes you stand out even more in all your black!

People in Minneapolis, which is snowy like 7 months of the year, don't drive properly in the snow either. It's like, don't take corners at full speed, okay? I've witnessed soooo many accidents first hand, it's insane!

I like the snow pictures! i would be rolling around it though because Houston doesn't get snow like that...or at all...we get what I call "dirty ice" every few years. I really might have to try this sock thing you got going on. I feel like I'm too old to pull it off (I'm 34..and a teacher...not that ever stopped me before)...but I like the look on you.

I love your pics today. The snow looks cool. Every time I read about how cold it there I want to send you a proper winter coat. I'm a coat person, so it's driving me nuts that you have one. Just a little mothering coming form WA.:0)

I think the snow makes these pics adorable! Love it. I am from the midwest, and snow driving does take some skill. Just go slow! It's scary when you're not used to it. Hell, it's scary even when you are!

You poor darlin. Snow in Texas is like pigs flying. I love that you're still rockin' the theme though!

I love how warm OTK socks with tights are. It's a look I rock on really cold days. I'm pretty jealous of your snow. And don't worry upstate New Yorkers can't properly drive in snow until about March- then we forget again by the next year.

I love snow and even though we get it all the time up here in Canada, it usually takes the majority of people a day or two to get used to a big snowfall again.

Love these pictures. (:

Oh it just looks so cold! Here in the middle east it is 20C (about 68F) and we are all going about complaining that we are freezing -to put it into perspective though it gets up to 50C (about 122F) here in the summer.

Still loving all black week…

You are one brave lady! I don't think I would be able to brave the elements, but I like the pictures. I think the snow is kind of cool in them! Great outfit too, btw! I love the all black theme this week.

The snow actually adds a gorgeous mysterious (I only say mysterious cuz I live in India where I've never seen snow) veil to the images! ;)

I'm really digging how you take these uber fashionable trends and make them so understated-ly wearable! :)

Much admiration! :)
