Day 1 (30+29+20)

30 Grey watercolor NR dress + 29 Fitted Blue Blazer + 20 high heeled docs =

Day 1 (30+29+20)

I was unbelievably excited to get started today. I’ve been thinking about it for weeks and staring at the rack of clothes for a week. Plus the clothes I pulled just happen to be some of my favorites.

Day 1 (30+29+20)

I went with this dress today because it’s pretty thin and we have some super cold weather coming this week, as do most of the rest of the United States. Plus it’s new. And I thought it would be fun to start the 30x30 in something brand spanking new.

Day 1 (30+29+20)

I don’t seem to have any dress guards. So I may have stuck panty liners in the underarms of the blazer to keep it from getting stinky since I need it to stay fresh for me. I’m not saying I DID, I’m just saying I MIGHT HAVE (I totally did.)

Day 1 (30+29+20)

This blazer used to be Nathan’s but he loaned it to me a while back because he wanted to see me in it and I’m pretty sure it’s mine now. You can’t see it in any picture I ever take of it, but it actually has little blue and burgundy/pink/red (depending on the light) stripes. Which made it perfect for my 30x30 mix.

Day 1 (30+29+20)

Day one down and feeling confident!
Blazer, thrifted by Nathan

Great blazer. Kudos to Nathan once again. He has great taste.
Good idea taking advantage of the weather to wear somethings you might not be able to wear in a few days.
You are off to the races and lookin good!

oh wow, that blazer fits you so perfectly, I would never have guessed you didnt buy it for yourself originally. Pantyliners? You are too funny.

Those two pieces were MADE for each other. And love the pantyliners trick. Brilliant.

That dress? I want. You look wonderful - what a great start to the 30x30! And Nathan is a genius.

The weather here is scary nasty outside - I'm glad you took advantage of yesterday's warmer temps.

I am not usually a fan of the blazer, but it just works here. I also love the boots. I need a pair like this, stat! As a new reader to your blog, I'm very excited to see what you have in store for the 30 for 30!

Wow, I am in awe of this combo. I'm not huge on blazers in general but it goes so perfectly with the dress (and like many others have said, I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't made for you because it fits so perfectly)!

Huge fan of this 30x30 thingie!

I love this look! I have gray blazer envy because I have yet to find an awesome one for myself. I'm also going to utilize your panty-liner trick. Genius!

Love this outfit - you're off to a really great start on this whole 30 for 30 thing. We're going to have high expectations for the next 29 days. :) And I, too, may have possibly used pantyliners in my pits once or twice...maybe. Recently.

I'm not saying that I'm going to copy your panty-liner idea (since I'm sure you didn't actually do it in the first place), but I totally am! Love the first outfit.

That blazer looks made for you! And I like what you did with the photos showing each piece.

You make me laugh.

Clearly you are off to a rockin' start with this outfit. AND you are now my new hero for using pantyliners as dress guards. Now that's resourceful!

That dress is just so utterly darling! It's one of those dresses that looks 100x better on, isn't it? Those are so hard to find, because I NEVER THINK TO PICK THEM UP AND TRY THEM ON! I might just be in love with it.

The dress and blazer are great together.

That blazer is awesome! I wore one of my lighterweight dresses today, but I'm afraid that I might need a couple extra layers by the time I need to go home. Yowza, it is getting cold out here! Might have been a two pair of tights day.

Great first outfit Erin! I love that dress - it's so flattering.

Sidenote, I've had your blog up since about 10am this morning and I am just now getting around to commenting! Busy day, what?

I love it! (and am totally stealing your improvised dress shield idea!)

I love the watercolor-y pattern on the dress! Boy's blazers are the best, and it's so cute that you stole it from Nathan!

crazy challenge - but i really like it's idea. i suppose i feel a little bit the same by doing 'WearLessBlack'. there aren't too much pieces in my closet that are not black. so ihave to mix the same items again and again. blah blah...

i really love the first look of the your challenge. Nathan's blazer looks so perfect on you. it should be yours!

I love!!! this outfit! I read most blogs on my little netbook, so I get the fun of watching an outfit evolve as I scroll down the page. With this one, it went "Business! Girly! Whimsicle! Edge-y!", and when you can have all that in one cohesive outfit, you must be doing something right!

Love the dress with the boots; the blazer looks great with the outfit; you've got a great start going. I can't explain why this is so much fun, but it is!

That dress is stunning ! I just love to see how everyone is doing with this challenge yet !

I love how the femininity of the dress and pastel tights are contrasted with the boots and blazer. Sweet, tough and professional. Youre starting strong!

If you confess, I'll be brave and do it as well: I've done the panty liners thing too!

It was on a shirt that easily became a total mess in the first 30 minutes of wearing it. And I had to get some use of it, you know.

Lovely dress, and great blazer, by the way!

So chic! I love how you paired that flirty, girly dress with those moto boots.
