Day 7 (1 + 3 + 13 + 20)

I took yesterday off to...basically nothing. I didn't get dressed, I didn't brush my hair. I laid in bed and watch TV and then sat on the couch with Nathan while he watched the Super Bowl. It was lovely. And I never changed out of the sweatpants and tee I slept in. But today I'm back in the game with look number 7 of my 30x30...

1 Rainbow sweater + 3 AA Charcol Cardigan + 13 Tucker for Target dress + 20 high heeled docs =

Day 7 (1 + 3 + 13 + 20)

Outside of the 30x30 I would never have paired this sweater and this dress together, I don't think. It's a little...loud. But the truth is, during the day about the office, I will only be wearing the layering sweater, which is a dark solid, which helps tone down the loudness of the tights. And hey! Why NOT have a little fun with your outwear?

Day 7 (1 + 3 + 13 + 20)

From the beginning planning stages this paring was one of my favorites because it's humorous and playful. It's little cheeky. And all that color is a real mood lifter early on a Monday morning.

Day 7 (1 + 3 + 13 + 20)

I've got a super easy and fun week this week as far as my 30x30 outfits go. Tomorrow is a new Everybody Everywear (blazers!) and Wednesday and Thursday Suze and Liz and I are all dressing each other for Suze's Living Paper Doll Project, which is such a cool idea, and so easy right now with all of us having access to basically each others entire wardrobe displayed via our 30x30 introduction posts. I can't wait!

Striped sweater, Forever XXI
Layering cardigan (not seen), AA
Dress, Tucker for Target
Tights, Target
Boots, Doc Martens

Wow, totally unexpected pop of color! Love it! I think everyone should have at least one day a week to do nothing. I definitely spent Sunday in my PJs but there was no Superbowl at my house. We're nerds.

it's nice to switch things up and surprise yourself a little. I think this looks great - especially with the bright tights and boots, giving it an edgier touch

Ahhh! I love this combination!! The dress and the sweater totally play off each other and look great doing so... not to mention those pink tights. I am officially adding hot pink tights to my must have list. :)

I have to agree with everyone else--those tights rule. And I'm inspired--I have a pink pair myself, but I haven't had the guts to wear them yet.

And the living paper dolls thing sounds like SO much fun!

I like the combination of the sweater and dress and I think the pink tights are perfect.

I forgot tomorrow is blazer day. I'm going to have to cheat but it is fun to participate. :)

I love the floral dress. And the bright tights are perfect with it. It is bright, loud - whatever you want to call it. But those outfits are always the best. So fun.

I think I own those same exact tights, and I usually pair them with solids and still get many, many comments from my middle-aged, pants-set-wearing coworkers about how bright they are. But they sure cheer me up! I love this look.

I'm amazed how you took such colorful pieces, mixed them together, and made it all work. I would never have thought to pair that sweater with your floral dress, but they look fantastic together. And I'm loving the pink tights!

I'm looking forward to seeing how you style outfits for the upcoming challenges you're participating in!

This is one of my favorite outfits of yours. I love the dress and really want to steal it from you, and I love how you put it together here. Ok...I don't want to steal per se, but I want to find another stat. Lucky you!
