I just want to take a moment and say Thank You to everyone who is reading. Everyone blogs for different reasons. I’m not sure I can pinpoint the reason I do it, but I know a lot of it is you. Your words of encouragement that pour in throughout the day are sometimes the only thing that makes a bad day bearable. And even if you don’t comment, the fact that you stopped by and read, well, it’s nice. It’s really nice to be heard. So Thank You, so much.
At first glance this outfit looks pretty tame. Just a black dress, leggings and jacket.
The interesting details are in the leggings, which I had to get a better view of for you.
POW!~ The pattern is much more obvious in real life. They don’t blend at all. They have an unmistakable metallic sheen to them, and the “scales” are much more of a mocha/copper color than comes across in the photos. Kelly gave me these for Christmas and I’ve been kind of stressing about what to wear them with. I’m not sure why though. This morning it seemed so obvious I could wear them with just about anything solid black (although I have less of that than I should!).
I moved my Isabella to a different chain today because the length was better for this outfit. Your jewelry belongs to you. Feel free to change the little things or the big, to make it work for you. I have a habit of rearranging necklaces and bracelets after a few months use, and it’s like having something new. And after today, I can put her right back where I got her, on her lovely, super long chain.
I’m still oiling the Hayden-Harnett bag, but I gave up on carrying it daily. It’s just exhausting. All day long you have to be super conscious of the bag, keeping it out of harm’s way. Nathan and I went to Wendy’s for lunch yesterday and trying to find a place to set it down was almost impossible. And in the car yesterday, because of the dark wash jeans (and the fall foliage in the floorboard) it was just as tough. So I’m taking a break and carrying the Steven bag for now. It’s much more easygoing.

I've been "lurking" for a few weeks but decided to comment after your last posting. First, you are adorable both in looks and more importantly personality. I have fun checking in to see what you have come up with next.
Thanks for taking the time you do to share a bit of yourself.
I really am digging this look. That jacket makes everything perfect. That purse...oh...the purse....that purse! It's beautiful...Have you won it before? Have I commented on it before? If I haven't, I should have!
This is one of my favorite outfits of yours!! That dress is SO cute, and I wish I could see those leggings in real life.
:o)!
i love the look of a monochromatic outfit that has different textures -- theres something about that which is just so luxurious...
on an unrelated note, since i see the Fuze drink in your photos, have you tried the blueberry raspberry flavor? so freakin good and good for you! i urge you to hunt it down. :)
I LOVE those leggings! It's a great outfit to wear them with since they have so much great detail to them. Great outfit!
I've got a gorgeous gray Linea Pelle bag that languishes unused for just that reason. Bah!
Love those patterned leggings - so fun!
Where is my credit for the Fuze?
I wish there was a picture without the jacket so I could see the dress better. I think this outfit looks fantastic on you!
I had to ween myself off of that Fuze stuff a couple of years ago. I was so addicted to their white tea!
Fantastic leggings!
I'm a mostly lurker, sometimes poster, but I follow your blog faithfully.
It's a shame about the HH bag. I find their leather is soft and smoosy and yummy, but definitely more delicate than my other bags in terms of keeping it clean.
I love those patterned leggings!
Aw! Pretty and sweet! How do you manage?! Also, you are one of the few people I would say this to, but you glow when you're wearing black. It looks great on your coloring.
I love those leggings! :)
I love this outfit! That jacket and dress are so cute! You look so pretty
I am also a lurker but I love your fearless, edgy style. I check out your blog everyday. Thanks for being a great fashion inspiration. :)
really cute outfit and the leggings are fab!
Hey! I found you on Weardrobe today and I featured one of your looks on my blog! You've got great style, those patterned tights are amazing!

GFS, I’m sure I have, but it may have been before we were “hanging out” together online. Thanks though!~
Evanadine, Oh my gosh, Kelly left that over here on Sunday, we are Vitamin Water people normally, but it was Cran Raspberry, and it was AMAZING. I want more!~
Alannah, I’ll e-mail you a link, I’ve totally worn it several times before.
Emily Kennedy, THANK YOU. I’m writing that down as permission to wear black as often as I please. Lol!
Wendy, AHAHA, Nathan said “Did Wendy yell at you for changing her work?” And then YOU DID.
Everyone else, THANK YOU!~
i love this dress! i never find things like this... it reminds me of that mark. one you have. i have to get better about being on the lookout!
I LOVE the jacket! This is probably my favorite look for it... it really shows it off and draws attention to it.
Great leggings! I totally feel you on that bag being too much work! Definitely give it a break : )
