You Know That I Could It To The Next Level Baby

I have a bruised heel, a blister on my pinky toe and I have 8 more hours on my feet today. Physically, this is not the easiest transition, to be honest. But I also logged a couple hours behind the Buy Counter yesterday and got to do full on role playing as part of my training so the fun of the job still makes up for the pain.

3.8.11

I started breaking in these new Docs yesterday. I promised myself I'd wear them half a day and I managed to wear them from 10 to 3, so I call that a success. I'm paying for it today but that's the way it goes with Docs sometimes. You have to really want it. And I do with these, because, well, LOOK at them! Gorgeous!

3.8.11

I brought a back up pair of flat Docs to change into and they saved the rest of my day.

3.8.11

This will most likely be my last post before TxSCC. I am working a mid shift tomorrow and then grabbing Suze at the airport, and we head out with Elissa for Austin first thing Friday AM. Oh. And I still need to pack.

3.8.11

I can't wait to meet everyone. I am SO EXCITED and I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Jacket and dress, Target
Sports Bra, Forever XXI
Tights, ?
Boots, Docs
Bag, vintage Coach
Necklace, self made

Fantastic outfit! You look skinny and gorgeous. I love the stripes underneath the floral dress!

Your changing into black Docs amuses me because that is what we used to all change into at some point when I worked at the Gap and when I waited tables. Docs: Official Footwear of the Service Industry.

I would have such a hard time transitioning from my desk job to something that required me to stand all day long. But, it sounds like you've got a sensible plan for breaking in footwear!
Have a ton of fun at the conference!

All my old and almost-forgotten love for Docs came back in a rush when I saw those amazing boots on you. I WANT THEM! And you look great in them: good luck with the physical transition! It sounds worth it, yes?

I can't fathom transitioning to spending that much time on my feet, that sounds really rough, but it sounds like things are going really well at BE (which is so awesome). It's so exciting that you were able to pursue this direction! I can't wait to meet everyone this weekend, and I desperately need to start thinking about packing. Yikes!

Those Docs are awesome! They're like a skunk! I love the bit of stripe sticking out from the dress too - nice touch!

I love them! I bought a new pair of Docs as well, but haven't worn them in yet, because I'm too afraid of the blisters. I'm a wuss.

Holy crap, I cannot believe we're going to be in Austin in TWO DAYS. I think I'm having a teeny tiny little heart attack right now. Great. My packing is finished but I seriously hate everything in my suitcase and will probably start over tomorrow. Because I'm crazy like that.

I love those Docs. Love.
