More Impressive Than I Thought

I was not that impressed with this outfit, but Pilar commented that she liked it at work, and Nathan asked me to wear it to meet friends that night. And in looking at the pictures, I’m not sure what I was unimpressed with!

I am actually kind of sick of that blouse, it has this big bow at the top that I used to REALLY like, but for some reason find myself sick of all of the sudden. But using it as a layering piece worked really well. You still get the pretty pattern and I don’t have to look at that stupid bow.

I have got to get these re-soled ASAP, kids. And the worst part is that the shoe repair place is next door to my office. All I have to do is put the shoes that need repair in my car and stop for 2 minutes to drop them off. I can be such a ditz. (I also have a ton of stuff in my car right now for the tailor. Some of it has been in there for months. )

I made these this weekend and I love them.

But I have no plans to make them for the store because they were such a huge pain in the behind. I got so sick of counting links. They are all uneven on the individual earring, but of course earrings come in pairs, so I had to have two of each length. It was totally worth it for personal use, but I think labor costs would price them out of my stores price point, to be honest. And I’m sure you can get something similar (made of out inferior components though) at Forever 21 or Claires.

This is the other side of the reversible cuff from Trilby Made. I find I want to wear this pretty much everyday. It’s so bold and original and comfortable!

Heck, if my husband actually goes so far as to ask me to wear something, it must look good.

That cuff is stunning. Ahem, I may have to... um... copy your style. :-)

Ooooooh, those earrings are *awesome*! I like the little bit of floral floofiness peeking out from the jacket too :)

I'm glad you got your shoes resoled. I need to take some of mine in. And I love your new earrings. Perfection!

Dang, if you change your mind about making those for the shop, give a yell. I'd LOVE a pair in silver tones.

I had that shirt this winter/spring (I lost weight and it's long-gone now), but I was able to remove the bow very easily. It was only sewn at the tips of the bow ends, and once I undid those I slid it right through the middle flap. It looked so much better without the bow!

Yeah, those earrings are HOT. I personally am very anti-bow (when they're on me) because it just makes me feel ridiculous. But that blouse is so pretty! I love it with the jacket.

I don't think my husband (of 20 years) has ever asked me to wear something.

I love that jacket. Especially with the floral peeking out and the contrasting snake skin. I die!

Love that floral shirt peeking out from your jacket! And still great job! on those pain in the butt earrings.

the shorter jacket with the floral top peeking out looks great! on a side note, have you ever done a tutorial on how to do your hair in that wonderful "poof"? i've been trying to learn for ages but can't seem to get it!

Stephanie,
Take my style, please!~

Kristen,
I am going to have to try that. I am so over that bow.

InMyFullCloset,

I'm kinda a copycat too. I've loved other girl's snake-skin looking heels (including yours) and found a pair of my own this week. They actually seem like a neutral item, so I'm going to test them out.

I am new to your blog, and I love it! You do have a lot of style... that guy at the grocery store is right (from today's post). AND I had to comment on this outfit. I love how the shirt under the jacket is only showing at the bottom. This has got me thinking about how I can do something like this myself.

I really, really like the earrings! I just never wear them myself... you always look so good in big earrings and I always feel silly in them... I may have to try them again!
