It took me a while to really figure out how I wanted to style this top, but I am glad I took the time to get it right. I knew I wanted a black shrug to make it work for the office, but I am not really shopping for new clothes right now, so I was looking at thrift stores and not finding what I needed. But last Saturday, Lara sent Nathan home with a couple of sweaters she was no longer interested in and this perfect shrug was one of them!
(oh my goodness, my legs!~ They are glowing like suns!)
I felt really amazing and curvy and fun in this combo and can’t wait to wear it again. I’ve been watching a lot of Mad Med Season 2, and this shape felt very Mad Men to me.
These shoes don’t get a lot of play anymore. When I first got them, I was a good 30 pounds heavier than I am now, and working with an entirely different wardrobe. I used to wear them all the time but I almost never wear them now.
I still really like them but the linen wrap around the heel really limits what I can wear them with.
This bracelet combo is getting a lot of play lately, just because, I’ll be honest, it’s easy, and I can just throw it on and not think too much about it. I’ve been pretty stressed and not getting tons of sleep, so lazy accessories are a bonus right now.
Meh. This picture does zero justice to these earrings, but it’s the best one I got. They are long enough to dust the shoulder and very striking.
Hopefully I’ll get a better pic next time!

Woo! What a fab look! You are definitely not projecting tired and stressed :)
Adore that shrug! Nothing like a little curved-hem bolero to bring out the sass.

Super Foxy. Love the shirt belted.
Damn, those legs! You so make me wish I was taller. That looks adorable with the belt & shrug!
I'm so sorry you're stressed. Take comfort in the fact that you look fantastic anyway!

You look so sophisticated! I love how you belted this top... these can sometimes look a bit maternity but this just looks stylish and I love where it hits you and the skirt. Really lovely!
