And On The North Pole, I'll Ice You, Son.

So here is the deal. It’s 17 degrees here in Dallas with a wind chill of 4. I know that’s warm for some of you (and I do not envy you) but for us, that’s actually really cold. I don’t own a coat that’s warm enough to handle it. So I’ve done the best I can, basically, to brace myself for the cold and remain as un-dumpy looking as possible. The layers today? Not necessarily what I would have gone with stylistically, but warm. And that’s really all I cared about.

I am not wearing either jacket indoors, and I have the hoodie open so you can see my tee. But it was far too cold to show you that today, so you’ll just have to trust me!

I’m wearing the Mossimo Katherine Boots of Supreme Value and Style from Target today as recommended by the lovely Hillary. They are awesome. They are a wee bit tight today, but that’s because I am wearing 3 pairs of socks, leggings and denim leggings.

The leather!~ And the styling! For $49.99! I have never seen such a good deal on everyday wearable leather boots before. As far as I know they are impossible to get in stores at this point but they seem to still have a good range of sizes in black and brown online. These were the last new thing I bought before the shopping ban, and they are not a bad way to go out.

Outer Jacket, Old
Inner Jacket, Forever XXI
Hoodie, Old Navy
Tee (it’s a Smiths tee, it’s cool, just trust me) Hot Topic (lollerskates)
Denim Leggings, Target
Boots, Target
Bag, Gucci
Earrings, Silver Jewelry Club
Isabella Wolf Fang necklace, Wendy Brandes Jewelry

Naw, dude, 4 degrees is no fun. ESPECIALLY if you don't have the gear to deal with it. Just glad you have your trusty earmuffs. ;)

I think you did a great job! It's tough being stylish when it's really cold out, I end up wearing ski pants over my regular clothes to catch the train, and piecing myself back together on the other side!

Damn - that IS cold! I get whiny when the lows are in the upper-30s. You look so stylish in all your layers. Hope you stay warm!

First of all, I love that song (of the post title).

Second, I was just in Target last week and saw these boots but they only had them in huge sizes. I agree, they look really good (like legit Fryes!) and for the price, you can't beat it. Really cute.

I love those boots! And man, I used to be addicted to the silver jewelry club. My coworkers used to sit around with me and watch the items change. :)

I think you did pretty good for not having a winter jacket! That's a fab vest and I love your boots!

Those are truly fantastic boots.

And I live near the Canadian border and think that's cold.

Girl! It's cold in Houston. You know Texas goes on shut down mode anytime it's believe 75 degrees. I am freezing....love that purse by the way. Luckily I've thrifted a few trench coats so I'm prepared.

I've been wanting to wear my ear muffs but it's been so mild here this winter! Yes I know it's an odd complaint, lol

Killer boots! I love them. I also love that jean jacket you're wearing - the military look of the buttons is fab.

I'm in Alabama and it's freakin freezing!! I also snagged a pair of the faux fryes and I love them. I've had them for a few weeks now and they are getting this great cowboy look to them.

I love your blog and so appreciate style on a budget!
