This is about as casual as I get.
I like my tees basic. I’m not a huge fan of graphic tees. I like a band tee here and there, mostly vintage and I occasionally find a graphic tee that I like, but it’s very rare. I prefer plain, because I like to accessorize, and I think that’s just cleaner with a plain tee.
I designed a few new things last week, and these earrings are one of them. They will be going in the shop this week, but unfortunately I only have the materials to make one other pair. This pair is mine though, and I love them!
This necklace is also something new for the shop. I debated it, because much like the key necklace and wing earrings, it contains gold toned elements that are just base metal and not brass or gold filled. In the end I find I can design so many cute things cheaply if I embrace the more costume-y pieces. And keeping costs down for both me and the buyer is a top priority right now.
The little circle is a snake. It’s actually meant as a toggle clasp, but I liked it so much I used it as a focal element.
Someone asked last week what color this polish is, and I keep meaning to look and tell you. I’ll try and remember tonight. But it’s a combination of two Sally Hansen colors. I know my feet look rough, but I got a pedicure the very next day so it’s all better now.
These shoes are great, but they have that gross foot bed thing going. Where the foot bed gets dark and looks really dirty and you can see the shape of your foot? So gross, and it always makes me think I need to replace them when I see them on the shoe shelf, but they are actually in great shape and probably have a few summers left in them!
Just so you know, I wore basically the same outfit the next day, with a black AA shirt instead of the teal. It’s just really comfy!

Old People Hated It
The old people at Luby’s hated this outfit. I had one of those really strange experiences where I got a ton of dirty looks right in a row and all I did was walk from my table to the bathroom and back. They were either not a fan of the outfit or me in general; and I am a nice girl, so I blame the outfit.
I liked it though.
I got this pendant at a second hand store, and I love it. But a quick search of Etsy reveals that there a ton to choose from over there, some are even sterling silver. There are bronze ones, pewter, bones resin. There are all shapes too; humming birds, ravens, and sparrows. So if you like it I encourage you to have a look and support the hand crafted community.
It’s such a striking piece.
Yes. These make my ankles hot in June. I just stay indoors.
Now a question for you readers. If you were to choose, would you rather win a really nice, expensive scarf, or a new pair of jeans? I need to get back to the sponser soon so pipe in now!

Transitions
Love Love Love this outfit.
It’s been a while since I said it so I’ll just mention again that the American Apparel deep v tri-blend tee is a great investment. It’s a little pricy for a tee shirt, but it’s so flattering on almost everyone, and so versatile. It looks just as great with jeans and flip flops as it does with a dressy skirt and heels.
One of the great things about this outfit, other than the flattering fit, is the fact that it transitions really well from work to home and then out with just a change of pants. For home I threw on some jeans and to go out I could wear the black leather skirt I love so much.
(I start sweating the moment I start setting up the tripod. Days like this I almost consider chopping off my hair. I just need to admit it’s got to start going up on a daily basis from now until, oh….October.)
I actually put a LOT of thought into this particular stack. I wanted to showcase a few of the more rock and roll pieces I have, like the hand made skull necklace that was one of the first pieces I made from PMC (silver clay) as well as the bullet necklace and the bird skull I just picked up.
I am so lazy that I still need to break these in, so they are comfortable enough but not great yet. I also have a hard time making myself wear them. I am normally not a fan of owning things so nice that you fear wearing them, but these are one such item. They are suede and I paid more than I normally pay for shoes for them, plus, LOOK at them. They are super hot. But I need to wear them more. What is the point in owning something if you don’t wear it, right? And let’s face it, every day God gives us is a reason in and of itself to dress up if we want.

Hiked
My friend Pilalex asked me today “Is that the skirt you hike up to your boobs?”
Yes. Yes it is.
I could have it tailored, sure, but this works fine, and I didn’t hate the length last winter when paired with boots. I just think it makes me look stumpy without them.
I don’t know. I thought this was a nice outfit. I love the colors and I think the accessories were really well matched. But it felt like a great outfit that someone else would wear and not so much something I would wear. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t one of those things where I was uncomfortable all day or anything. I just didn’t love it. Something about it seemed really…tame I guess.
I thrifted this blouse last Friday on my lunch break for two bucks. I mostly liked the pattern and though it was a good shape for my denim leggings. But I thought I’d go ahead and try it with a skirt.
I love this little spider ring.
It’s just the right cross between creepy and pretty for me.
And these heels are just the right height to be comfy all day.

Boring. But Apparently Flattering.
Honestly, I felt like this outfit was so boring I was not even going to post it.
Mostly for fear of putting you to sleep. But then multiple co-workers complimented it, a barista gave me a free upgrade on my coffee and my husband said “that looks really flattering on you, you look really skinny”. So I decided maybe I was wrong.
Because I thought it was boring, I may have overcompensated with one too many necklaces (although I got that bird skull at a second hand shop on the way home, so I didn’t actually wear it all day, I just failed to take it off for the pictures). I think maybe the too many necklace look is something I really like and other people don’t care for as much. But I don’t really care. I'm having fun with it and I'll get over it soon enough, I always do.
I’ve actually started to worry about what will happen when these shoes fall apart, that’s how much I rely on them, as you can tell from the blog.

LBD
Some days you wake up SO late that the only fashion solution is the easy fashion solution…the little black dress.
It’s not that exciting, and it’s nothing new. But it does fit well and it is pulled together. And accessories are here to save the day.

Pink and Yellow
Whenever I see this dress in my closet, I almost always dismiss it.
I have no idea why, since I always enjoy wearing it. Maybe I wore it too much when I first got it? I do know I dismissed it several times this spring once it got too hot to wear my biker jacket for being to sweet and not rock and roll enough. But then I decided I can be sweet today and a bit more rock and roll tomorrow.
I love the pattern on this dress, and I am a big fan of black white and hot pink. I look good in pinks but I have trouble committing to them, so this is a great way to wear a little without a huge commitment to it.
Sometimes when I am selecting accessories, I think of the blog and think “Oh I’ve worn that 4 out of the past 5 days, that’s so boring." And try and select something else. But you know what? I want to be honest. And the truth is I tend to go through phases where I want to wear the same thing over and over again, and I want to document that. I want to be true to the way I would dress without all of you lovely people watching. Plus, I think it's really true to the mission of my blog to wear the same thing different ways, even if it is 5 days in a row. Or 10.
All that to say. I’m wearing the bunny pendant again. And the turquoise bird. And the bunny bracelet.
Yellow shoes are not something I would have ever thought of for this dress pre-fashion bloggers. You’ve been a wonderful influence on me.
And I also carried my wonderful vintage leather and bamboo bag.
