Summer Wardrobe Blues

I am so sick of Summer. I am sick of the heat. And the humidity. But most of all I am sick of my wardrobe!~ I know my Fall clothes are basically the same as my summer clothes, just with a jacket and tights, but the jackets and tights feels like a world of opportunity to me right now. Every morning I look at my closet’s offerings and I just feel…bored.

I wore this jacket yesterday for the first time this summer and I had forgotten just how much I love it (I’m wearing it again today!)

Also, as Sal pointed out on Facebook yesterday, come Fall I can wear dresses 99% of the time again, because I don’t have to shave my legs every time I want to wear a dress!~ I miss my dresses.

I realize I am not actually saying much about this outfit, but it’s all stuff you’ve seen before.

I am about to unpack my leggings, tights and sweaters, and defiantly move towards Fall. Because here in Texas it’s still a good 3 months away, and I just can’t take the summer wardrobe that much longer!

I know the feeling. I'm sick of tank tops and flip flops. It's so hot I feel like melting. I should be living in Minneapolis with Sal! (not *with* Sal, I just mean not in Florida. lol)

I am SO with you on fall! This morning I was so very uninspired. And much like TX, Arkansas doesn't start getting cool until November! Luckily we have all decided that boots are apporpriate year round!

The saddest part is that it will be too freaking hot for tights until like November (or October, but only in the office). I am so tired of sandals. I'm tired of shaving. I'm tired of painting my toes.

And as tired as I am of these things in relation to myself, I'm equally tired of seeing/hearing flip flops, and tank tops with bra straps showing. I mean, I do it myself, by I don't have to really SEE myself, you know?

But as much as I hate all my summer clothes, I really don't want to give up my white capris. I love them so much.

Its how it always goes. Always longing for one season, then bored with it when it is only 2/3 through!

I think I'm most excited about Fall/Winter for the change of shoes. I never invested heavily in boots before, but I think it is finally time. Plus I have a lot of close toe shoes and I feel a little silly wearing them when it's 80!

I couldn't agree more. I actually blogged about that very thing yesterday. I'm ready for the chance to layer again!

I love the bangle, it reminds me of a book I read called The Dream Merchant, it was about people who travelled through dreams(wouldn't you know). I also love the embellishments on this jacket, it changes the whole look giving it an edgier , more 60s theme.

I so know what you mean about the shaving part! It gets so old having to do it so often in the summer. Here's to tights!!

I really like a cute cropped jacket like that.

Glad to know I'm not alone in my longing for fall! And I guess I should be grateful ... I'll be able to haul out the tights in about a month.

We are in the same boat! I am so bored with my closet and ready for new fall styles!

I only shave once a week and I wear dresses all the time! My hair doesn't grow THAT fast, but I also don't really care. Ah ha ha.

I love that first picture... it's nice to see a larger one for a change, where I can actually see everything clearly!

Still adore those shoes, earrings & jacket!

It's too bad you've had so much hot weather because we've had a very un-summer-like summer this year. It's spoiled me since I despise heat... it's totally been the best summer ever! I think we've had maybe 1-15 days in the 90s all season. AWESOME.

I'm trying to wear the last of my dresses, because come cold weather they will not be touch LOL! I will try the tights again this year, but I still freeze.

I am actually wearing jeans at this very moment, willing fall to come. But you KNOW I'll be missing my summer dresses come December.

Oh, and I LOVE that snake bracelet.

Why are you so cute? Seriously, everything in this outfit is the perfect mix of girly+edgy. Diggin' that jacket, in particular; I see why you love it so much. :)

I am afraid I disagree. I love summer and dread autumn because it means that horrible nasty winter isn't far behind.
