Come On and Rock Me Amadeus

Hi! I had a stomach bug. It wasn’t fun, but it appears to be over now. I laid this outfit out Monday night and then stared longingly at it all day yesterday from my bed. So I’m glad to be wearing it today.

April 7

I had this belt for almost a full month before I wore it backwards with my birthday dress and was completely at a loss as to how to use it, but once I finally committed to it, I’ve started to find all kinds of ways to wear it. I love how wide it is, it almost works like a mini corset.

I almost wore heels with this today, but I’m trying to get into the groove of doing the stairs at work three times a day and I wanted to wear something that’s comfortable for that. I start at the top, go down, come up, think to myself, “this is not so bad”, go down, come up, and half way up again I think “Oh. This is hard. Why is this so hard? I am not going to make it.”, but I always do. I huff and puff like the big bad wolf for 5 minutes when I am done, but I do it!~

A little pop of red…

The order I placed when I got that coral had about 10 pieces in it, only this one was strong enough to actually use. All the other pieces broke when I bent them. The druzy I got for the earrings was the same way. I think there were 8 or 9 of those, and 3 pieces were usable. I know going in with certain things that might be the case, and I always try and break it before I make something with it, because I’d rather know up front it’s not going to last than be wearing it and have it break.

I love the shape of this outfit on you. I have looked longingly at that belt a few times both in brown and black. I may just have to get it sometime. Good for you taking the stairs! You'll be ready for your skinny pants really soon. Keep it up!

That necklace is GORGEOUS and I love the corset-y belt! I always go up and down my spiral stairs 10 times while using my sonicare toothbrush... it's weird to be panting and brushing at the same time but I hate to waste those 2mins in the morning not doing anything but brushing (I'm nuts, I know)

Fabulous all around! Masterful belting and layering, use of nude-ish shoes for legginess, and placement of pop of red!

My fave colour combo!! Is that a new blouse, or something you just haven't worn much? It's awesome.

So glad you're feeling better!

XOXO

The one consolation for a stomach virus is feeling thin for a day after.

Until I load up on salty food.

I thought I had a stomach bug yesterday too but it just turned out to be too much sushi...
