Lara at FASHIONate

Today my entire look makes me think of Lara (see side bar for link). For starters, because I didn’t want to wash my hair this AM, and Lara shares my deep loathing of washing when you are not dirty.(I only wash my hair every 2-3 days, and as a result, even as long as it is, it’s perfectly healthy.) So it’s in a bun. Again.

Then there is my outfit. Something about this feels very Lara. I’m not sure what it is, but I am sure it probably has something to do with the fact that while it is still work appropriate, it’s also just sort of over the top FUN. Lara’s clothes are always fun and never obvious. This outfit doesn’t feel obvious at all, and I love that about it. I just got this dress tailored (I had to buy a 9 to fit up top, but needed the waist nipped in quite a bit, it was very boxy) and I am so glad I did. For all of 10 extra bucks, I have a dress that fits my curves exactly.

And last but not least, as SOON as I started driving away, I realized that last week, Lara made me a gorgeous button and bead necklace that goes with the dress PERFECTLY, and as a result of the MESS on my dresser, I forgot!~ Now I am going to have to go home, CLEAN and when I hang this dress up, I will hang that necklace with it!~

These earrings are just slapped together with components from the craft store, but I think they came out really nicely and they are super versatile.

I do think your pictures are getting better (the tripod helps, I'm sure) but they've never been bad! Your personality always comes through in photos which is why they're always great!

I love that jacket. I need to pay more attention at Target because apparently I miss all the cute stuff!

I just discovered that Lara had a fashion blog yesterday & I agree that this is a very "Lara" outfit. Adorable!

LOVE it! The dress is totally cute, and I love the socks over the tights--hurrah for cool weather! And yes, the pictures are fantastic! I really like the borders you're using--they make me want to do something a little more interesting with mine!

This is absolutely adorable. I bought the skirt version of that dress. It is REALLY short, but the outfit is super cute. I will photograph myself the next time I wear it.

Great blog and I love your dresses and boots.

I'm going to like to you, feel free to add me to your list too!

Also, check out Work That Wardrobe's blog, she's not buying anything new for a whole year, definitely working with what she's got!

I LOVE that dress! And yes, pics are def getting better.

I want some knee socks now, to layer with boots. This lunchtime I spotted them on Nubby, and now on you too - it looks so stylish!
